Mahrukh Mukhtar
As a Senior Scientist in the healthcare industry, Mahrukh has a BSc (Hons) and MRes in Chemistry. She discovered the benefits of Pilates following injuries, which led to poor mobility in her joints and supporting muscles. Starting her Pilates journey for personal rehabilitative purpose, she continued to learn about anatomy and went on to train as a Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) in 2023.
Having trained with APPI, Mahrukh is now passionate about creating a positive movement experience for those who attend her sessions. She focuses on educating her clients so they feel more connected to the movements and understand the benefits of them, but more importantly, are able to take learnings beyond the class into their daily lives.
Mahrukh's philosophy is to educate and empower her clients to enhance the quality of their daily movements. She welcomes beginners or those new to Pilates, and tailors her class to allow mixed abilities to flourish. She is also extremely passionate about women’s health and the unmet need in the industry, and has continued her Pilates education by completing CPDs on Pilates for menopause, osteoporosis and pelvic health for her women’s health certification.
Mahrukh is available for classes, due reformers and 1:1's at our Sheerness Studios
