Pilates is an exercise method designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body to balance. Based upon an anatomical understanding of the body's muscular and skeletal systems, the pilates teacher creates a comprehensive exercise programme for the client.

Classes will focus on specific areas whilst using exercises that integrate the whole body to re-educate and restore it to optimum muscular and skeletal function.

It is this holistic approach that sets pilates apart from many other forms of exercise.

Pilates Induction

Essential for all new clients. Learn the fundamentals and key elements of pilates with beginner level exercises. Available weekdays, evenings and saturdays.

Your session will cover:

  • The key elements of pilates
  • How to breathe correctly
  • How to activate the deepest layer of your core muscles
  • Stretching techniques
  • Beginner's exercises
  • Postural assessment
  • Recommended exercises for you to practice

Please note that following your initial 1:1, it may be recommended or advised for you to continue with private sessions and to follow a home programme at your own level.


One-to-one pilates

Very benefical for posture work and injury rehabilitation, and to refine your pilates technique. Suitable for back care, beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. Includes exercises with the pilates foam roller, stability ball, toning circle, exercise band and the arc barrel.


Pilates Matwork Classes

Our pilates matwork classes are held within the spacious setting of the roundel at The Oast.
All classes are small groups.
All mats and equipment are provided for the classes. Our current timetable includes:

  • Beginners/Back Care
  • Intermediate and Advanced Levels
  • Pre and Postnatal Pilates
  • Pilates on the Ball
  • Studio Equipment Classes
Please wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing.

Classes are pre-booked monthly in advance. 

£32- £40 - Mat work classes
£40-£50 - Equipment classes
(depending on the number of weeks in that month)

Pre and Postnatal Pilates

Specifically designed for mothers to be throughout your pregnancy and for the postnatal period where posture, pelvic floor strength and relaxation are key.
